Description

At JMT Consultants Inc., we are looking for a strategic and detail-oriented Estimating Manager who can drive project success from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of structural steel detailing, exceptional analytical skills, and a proven track record of leading estimating teams. This role requires someone who can not only prepare precise cost estimates but also manage and optimize resources effectively to meet both client needs and company goals.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and/or assist in budgetary and final estimating of project scopes.
  • Analyze blueprints and other documents to prepare estimates.
  • Use industry knowledge to promote short and long-term project solutions.
  • Perform detailed structural and miscellaneous takeoffs.
  • Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and architects to ensure estimate accuracy.
  • Present estimates to clients professionally and promptly.
  • Manage and oversee a team of 5-19 estimators.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new and existing clients.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Who You Are:

  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with Bluebeam, Tekla Powerfab, or Fabsuite is a plus.
  • Proven team leadership skills.
  • Experience in tilt panel manufacturing facilities and schools preferred but not required.
  • Excellent blueprint reading skills.
  • Capable of working independently or collaboratively.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Critical thinking, analytical, and organizational skills.

  • Relevant Diploma, Certificate or work experience.
